As Brown Jug

G Routledge & Sons, London, 1935 (internal illustration right)

The wild horse Brown Jug would rather leave a herd of horses than be caught
by man. He is, however, tamed by a half Indian wolf trapper, Narcisse. The
book is, I think, set in Montana.

Don Patton (1892 - ) wrote, as far as I am aware, just the one book. It is about the strangely named wild horse Brown Jug.

Finding the book: the book is easy to find in the USA, as it is under its UK titling, Brown Jug.
