Peter Archer was responsible for only one Jill cover: the early 1960s printing of Pony Jobs for Jill by Armada. I’m sorry I don’t have an exact date for this: if you do, please let me know. The book retained its internal illustrations by Caney. Like Mary Gernat, Peter Archer illustrated many titles for Armada.
This Jill cover I think is one of the most awkward. The pony’s not too bad, but Jill looks like a wooden model.
