Jane de Bargue Hubert wrote this book whilst young: it’s very hard to find, but seems to have made an impact on those who read it when young. I’ve never had a copy more than a few days. It’s the story of a pony, Water Wagtail. Alas it is so long ago that I read it I can remember little about it apart from that. As far as I know, she did not write another book.
Finding the book: the book is very hard to find indeed, and can be expensive when it does turn up.
