Angela Dorsey
Angela Dorsey is a Canadian author, who contributes to the Stabenfeldt Pony Club series.  She has written two series for them:  the Freedom series, and the ongoing Horse Angel series, about a mysterious girl called Angelica who appears when girls and their horses are in seemingly hopeless situations.  Her latest series will be called “Whinnies on the Wind”, and the first book is due out in 2010.

Angela Dorsey first rode when she was three, when she scrambled on board a horse who was lying down.  Fortunately she survived the experience, and now has two horses she co-owns with her daughters.  Her horses, and past horses she’s owned, appear in her books, but she herself is not Angelica, although she has, she says, had a few Angelica moments when she’s known her horses needed her.

Finding the books:  no Stabenfeldt titles were published in the UK, but some copies have been imported and are usually available fairly cheaply here.  Alternatively, you can try American sites, or Ebay.com, where bundles of titles tend to come up fairly often.   If you’d like to buy the books new, and signed, you can do this from Angela Dorsey’s website.
