How to order
UK Buyers
Let me know what you want to order:
Telephone: 01933 410943. Please leave a message if you ring and I am not in, specifying which books are interested in.
Or write to: Jane Badger Books, The Manor House, High St, Irchester, Northants, NN29 7AA
Payment:
You can’t pay for books from the catalogue directly on the website. For new customers, please pay before the order is sent. For existing customers, I will send an invoice with your parcel. If you can pay as soon as possible I do appreciate it.
You can pay me by:
Credit Card: the easiest way for you to pay me is via Paypal. There is no fee for you to use Paypal. Either ask me to send you a Paypal invoice, or pay to my email address: janebadger.books@btinternet.com
Cheque: please make payable to Jane Badger Books and send to the address above. I can only accept sterling cheques drawn on a UK bank.
Postal orders: crossed and sent to the address above.
Cash: I don’t like taking cash, but if this is the only way you can pay, I will accept it, but only if it is sent in a method which needs me to sign for it.
Postage Charges
Typically, these are £1.60 for the average paperback and £2.75 for the average hardback for first class postage within the UK. I will let you know what the final postage cost for your order will be when I confirm it.
Insurance
If you buy a book worth more than £32, please let me know if you want the order sent by Special Delivery, which covers losses greater than £32. I get certificates of posting for all books I post, which covers loss up to £32. If a book does go missing, please let me know and I will chase it up or negotiate with the Post Office for you.
Welcome to my latest catalogue. You seemed to like the new format, so I’ve kept it. I am working on linking everything to a database with a pay by credit card system, but this is taking time. Perhaps next catalogue!
Again, there are plenty of books which won’t extend your pocket: Follyfoot and Cobbler’s Dream in paperback, for example and lots of hardbacks without their dustjackets for £5 or under. You might like to try Eleanor Helme’s Runaway Mike (£3), or Kathleen Mackenzie’s Vicky for £5.
You will notice there’s now a section on dog books -

Overseas Buyers
I am very happy to accept orders from buyers anywhere in the world.
If you have a credit card, the easiest way for you to pay me is via Paypal. Paypal take care of all the currency conversion. There is no fee for you to use Paypal, and you do not have to have an account to pay that way.
Once you let me know what you want to order, I can send you a Paypal invoice for the total, and you can then pay me online.
If you prefer, you can send me a banker’s draft in sterling.
I prefer not to take cheques in currencies other than sterling, as the UK Banks make a hefty charge for conversion.
I don’t like taking cash, but if this is the only way you can pay, I will accept it, but only if it is sent in a method which needs me to sign for it.
If you have any queries at all about ordering, please contact me.

Returns Policy
Returns are accepted for any reason as long as they are returned before seven days after the day of receipt (21 days for overseas customers). The book must be returned in its original state, and in the packaging in which it was sent. Please email me before returning books. The cost of the book plus postage one way will be refunded, unless the book is not as described, in which case postage both ways will be refunded.
